Booking and visits

Do you give free quotes?

Yes. We come out and look at the job in Glenmore Park and the nearby suburbs for free, then send a fixed written price. Text us a photo for a rough idea first if you like.

What hours do you work?

From 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, including weekends. Mowers and blowers start at 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends and public holidays, in line with NSW residential noise rules; before that we do quiet hand work.

Do you take the green waste away?

Every time. Clippings, prunings and branches leave with us, so your green-lid bin stays free for the week.

How often should my lawn be mowed here?

Kikuyu and couch grow fast in Penrith heat, so every one to two weeks from October to March, every two to three weeks in autumn, and every four to six weeks in winter.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as the side gate is unlocked and the dog is inside, we can do the job and send you photos when we are finished.

Can you remove trees?

We prune and remove shrubs and small trees from the ground. For larger trees we will put you on to a qualified arborist, and some trees in the Penrith area need council approval before they come down.

Lawn mowing & edging

Can you mow my lawn in stripes?

Yes. Straight stripes, checkerboard, diagonal or diamond, on lawns big enough to show them. Ask when you book.

Do you mow the nature strip?

Yes, the footpath strip in front of your house is part of every front-yard mow.

What if it has been raining?

We skip mowing on waterlogged clay because the wheels leave ruts. We move the visit a day or two and let you know by text.

Hedge trimming

Can you bring an overgrown hedge back?

Usually yes. We cut it back in stages over two or three visits so it fills in again instead of going bare.

Do you trim the neighbour's side?

Only with their permission. If they agree, we trim both faces and the top in one visit.

Will lilly pilly flower if you trim it?

Less, if it is trimmed often. If you want the flowers and berries, we trim straight after flowering instead.

Garden clean-ups

How long does a clean-up take?

Most standard blocks take half a day to a day with two people. We give you the time and a fixed price when we look at it.

Can you work to my real estate agent's list?

Yes. Send us the list or the entry report and we will work through it and send photos when done.

Do you take rubbish other than garden waste?

We take green waste only. For building rubbish or household junk you will need a skip or a rubbish removal service.

Weeding & mulching

Which mulch do you recommend?

Hardwood chip for most beds because it lasts; sugar cane for vegetable gardens; pine bark for a darker, tidy look around natives.

Are your weed sprays safe for pets?

We use selective lawn herbicides by the label and ask you to keep pets off treated areas until they are dry.

Can you put down weed mat?

We can, but on clay we usually advise against it. It stops mulch breaking down into the soil and weeds grow on top of it anyway.

Regular garden maintenance

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Visits continue until you tell us to stop, and you can pause them for holidays.

Will it be the same person each time?

Yes, as far as we can. The person who quotes your garden is the person who looks after it.

Can I add extra jobs on the day?

Yes. Text us before the visit and we will do it if time allows, or book it for the next one.

Pruning & shrub care

Do you remove trees?

Small trees and shrubs from the ground, yes. Larger trees need an arborist and sometimes council approval, and we will point you to both.

When should I prune my roses?

Late June to July in western Sydney, once they have gone dormant.

Can you prune my fruit trees to stay small?

Yes. Regular summer pruning keeps citrus and stone fruit at a height you can pick from.

Planting & garden makeovers

Do you supply the plants?

Yes. We buy from local nurseries and include them in the fixed price, or we plant ones you have chosen.

Can you design a low-maintenance garden?

Yes. Native grasses, groundcovers and mulch make a front yard that needs a tidy only every couple of months.

Do you build retaining walls or paving?

No, we stick to soft landscaping: soil, plants, mulch, turf and edging.

Turf laying & lawn repair

How long before I can walk on new turf?

Light foot traffic after about two weeks, and normal use after three to four, once the roots grip.

How much should I water new turf?

Every day for the first week, then every second day, then twice a week. We leave you a written plan.

Can you fix the bumps in my lawn?

Yes. Top dressing in spring, with the low spots built up gradually, levels a lawn without killing it.

Green waste removal

Do you take soil and rocks?

Small amounts of garden soil, yes. Rocks, bricks, concrete and building waste, no.

Can you get it out of my backyard?

Yes, through a side gate. If there is no side access, we carry it through and lay drop sheets.

Is green waste removal included with other jobs?

Always. Every quote for mowing, hedging, pruning or clean-ups includes taking the waste away.
